Change your password

1. In Railway, open the Paperclip service, then Variables, and change ADMIN_PASSWORD (8 to 128 characters).
2. Redeploy Paperclip, then CloudCLI.

Both apps take the new password, and every browser is signed out. The jobs skill keeps working: its key doesn’t depend on your password.

CloudCLI takes its login from Paperclip’s variables, so change it there only.

Set up without the setup page

The setup page is the simple way. If you prefer variables, for example to script a deploy, set these on both the Paperclip and the CloudCLI services, then redeploy:

Variable	Does what the setup page’s step does
CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN	Step 1: a token from claude setup-token, for both apps. It also turns off the redirect to /setup.
GH_TOKEN	Step 2: a GitHub token for git and gh in both apps, and Paperclip’s GITHUB_TOKEN secret.
REPO_URL	Step 3: an https:// repo address, cloned into both apps at start.

To get a Claude token, run claude setup-token in CloudCLI’s terminal, and follow its link.

The time zone comes from TZ on Paperclip (an IANA name such as America/Toronto), which CloudCLI takes from it. The setup page’s zone wins over it for jobs.

Use your own domain

CloudCLI and Paperclip each have a Railway address. To use your own domain instead (from Paperclip’s code; not tested on this template yet):

CloudCLI works on a custom domain as is. Add the domain to the CloudCLI service in Railway, on port 3001, then sign in once on the new address.

Paperclip only answers the addresses it knows:

1. Add the domain to the Paperclip service in Railway, on port 3100.
2. Set PAPERCLIP_PUBLIC_URL on Paperclip to https://your-domain.
3. To keep the Railway address working too, add it to PAPERCLIP_ALLOWED_HOSTNAMES.
4. Redeploy Paperclip, then CloudCLI, which takes Paperclip’s public address for its links.

Phone

CloudCLI is an installable web app. Open it in your phone’s browser and add it to your home screen, then ask Claude for jobs and their results from there. Paperclip’s dashboard opens in a phone browser too. Neither app’s phone layout has been checked with this template yet.
