FAQ

No. You ask Claude in CloudCLI for jobs, in plain words. Paperclip runs them, and its dashboard is there when you want to look at a job or a run.

No. You say what and when; Claude writes the skill and the schedule. You can read and edit both, since they are plain files in your repo.

Claude Pro or Max. Each run is a Claude Code session on your own subscription, signed in with Claude Code’s official sign-in. The token stays on your server. See What it costs.

No. Any GitHub repo you can push to works, even one made just for your jobs. A job can be anything Claude Code can do from a server: reports, checks, drafts. See What it is.

Not in practice for now: signing in and pushing go through the GitHub CLI. A public repo elsewhere clones, but Claude can’t push its jobs.

Claude adds files under .claude/: each job’s skill in .claude/skills/, and the record in .claude/jobs.json. It commits and pushes them to the default branch. A job’s run changes the repo only when its skill says so.

Yes. Its CLAUDE.md, .claude/settings.json, hooks and tool servers apply in the chat and in every job.

To its task in Paperclip, by default. Claude can send them elsewhere too, such as a chat, an inbox or an API, if you ask. See Outside services.

What happens if I stop using the template?

Your jobs stay in your repos: each skill is Markdown instructions, and .claude/jobs.json lists each job’s prompt, cron schedule and time zone. Another scheduler or agent can run them. Run history stays in Paperclip.

Can I edit jobs in Paperclip’s dashboard?

Section titled “Can I edit jobs in Paperclip’s dashboard?”

Yes. Claude records your dashboard changes in git the next time it looks at your jobs. See Sync after dashboard edits.

The template sets up one login, for both apps. Sign-ups to Paperclip are closed by default, so nobody else can create an account from its sign-in page. Its PAPERCLIP_AUTH_DISABLE_SIGN_UP variable can open them while someone you trust signs up, then close them again.

Yes. Each gets its own project and jobs. See Several repos.
